We are under assault of another winter storm and I hope everyone is staying safe and warm. We don’t have snow too often in NC, so if I’m around when it happens I try to take some photos around my house. It just look prettier with little sparkle. Yesterday I also took a quick time lapse video of the falling snow on my deck, it was growing from nothing to a few inches in a matter of couple hours. Check it out right after the photo.

As you hike back from the upper Graveyard Fields Waterfalls you can take the path that will take you over some handmade bridges over swampy fields. It is nice of the NC Park system to invest into it allow travelers to easily get to the destination and back to the parking lot.

Sounds like we have spring around the corner, probably most of the cold weather is behind us, finally. As temperatures rise and we get some spring colors it would be nice to go back to the mountains and see if anything is blooming, do some evening photography similar to this one.
Any big plans for this spring anyone? We are taking a little break during first week of April, in warmer weather, some place south from North Carolina. You’ll know where it is in April after I post first photos.
My wife drives by this lake every day to work and sees some awesome sunrises and sunsets. She always tells me about it, how great they are. A few weeks ago, on one of the weekends she suggested we drive up there in the morning and see if we get some interesting light. It was all foggy in the city so we thought that maybe we get some fog over the lake as well. By the time we arrived most of the fog went away, with some clouds lingering over the trees. Was not one of those days. We will try again.
But, I took a few shots. We were there. Why not.
