Ahh, Istanbul. We were there for only three days. Not enough to experience it all.

Friday Mystery Photo
First, let me thank all for nice comments from the yesterday post. I usually get to see them on my phone during the day while at work, and it something that brightens my day.
I’ll follow up today with another colorful scene, only today, since it is Friday you have an opportunity to tell us where you think it is. There are plenty of giveaways here, especially if you understand the main language all of the signs are written in, there is even something there in Russian too.
We walked a lot around different streets but none of them had this cover from the sun, was so bright and awesome, perfect spot to take photos and remember the uniqueness of the place.
Weekend update: Yes, yes, yes. It is Istanbul. Pretty much all of you identified it. It is not the Grand Bazaar, but it is not far from it. Thanks all for stopping by!

Hagia Sophia
Before visiting Hagia Sophia I had no idea that it is not a practicing Mosque anymore. So before going there we stopped at our hotel and I changed my shorts to pants. You can’t wear shorts in Mosque. It was the middle of summer, around 95F and high humidity, needless to say wearing pants was not super comfortable. I was super annoyed to see all other tourists going through ticket office and none wearing pants. Doing some research prior to visit would avoid this, but I rarely do a lot of research as I don’t like to have a lot of different expectations about places I visit.
Note for next visit to Hagia Sophia – you don’t have to wear clothes that would be required to have in normal Mosque.
The inside was impressive. See it for your self. I shared another photo while back, The View of the Heavens.
Friday Mystery Photo
I want to share some lovely graffiti with you today and see if anyone have seen it. Truly, if I saw it before but didn’t take this photo I would never remember it and would not know where it was. You’d probably need to be into the graffiti to know it all or you are living or frequently visit this city and this specific street to know where it is.
This city has been on the news recently. I’m sure a lot of places have been on the news, but I think this is a good enough lead for you guys.
Saturday Update: Ankur Sharma identified the country and artandkitchen finished it with the city. Thanks guys for stopping by!
It is in Istanbul Turkey.
