Banner Elk Waterfall Close and Personal

Well, I took a few photos with this waterfall and I’m going to share them. Same place as my last two posts. I hope you like it.Click to open in my Photo Gallery

Banner Elk River

This is Banner Elk River right on top of the Banner Elk Falls. If you turn around 180 degrees you’ll look down into the pool of water and that drop I talked about in my last post. We came here mid morning on Sunday and at first didn’t see many people, but then in about 30 minutes place was swarmed with folks, I guess church was over for them or something. I’m glad I took this shot before they all showed up.

Banner Elk Falls

Pretty nice falls and easy to get to it. I read that some not super bright youngsters jump off into the pull from that rock on the right side. The thing is… it looks kind of drop down vertical from this point, but it actually kind of curves out about 4-5 feet. So if you jump and you don’t jump far out then you’ll hit that rock right mid level somewhere there and probably break some part of your body or just kill your self. I was standing up there, looking down into the pool and could not figure out why anyone would just do that.

First of this Fall

Fall is here and I already took a few dozens photos with a few more weekends of changing colors coming our way. So I’m going to treat you with a few photos over the next few weeks with all this beautiful goodness.

This one was taken next to the Banner Elk Falls. Photos of actual photos hopefully will be coming later this week.
