Boston Reflections

A few days ago I shared similar photo from Boston which I took the same day, maybe even a few minutes apart. When the sun is shining and you have these types of cool reflections, and you see them, and this is the most important part – you have to see them, because I usually too busy with other things and not pay attention to what happens around me, well not always, sometimes I have an eye for it and try to snap a shot or two.

Anyhow, I thought this one looked cool as well.

BOSTON Reflections

Boston downtown area has many tall glass buildings which act as perfect mirrors with right angle of the sun. It presents some interesting photo opportunities, like the one below.

The day when I took this photo was perfectly sunny with clear blue skies. I just played a bit here with textures to make it a bit more moody.

Hungry Fish

The cool part of taking photos is to be able to look back and see where I have been on some specific day and if I did anything cool.

This photo was taken last year today, as it happens I was in East Boston, taking some sunset photos, none of which have been posted yet, they were all right, but yet to inspire me in any way to process and post any of them. As I was heading back to the car I saw this scene, full moon, with clear skies and that stupid looking fish staring at it like in some kind of trance, I just had to take this photo and it resonated today more than sunset shots I took a few minutes before.

Today I’m at home in NC, last year I was in Boston. It would be interesting to see where I’m going to be this day next year.

Boston Nights

A few years ago I stayed over night in Cambridge with my windows facing south with nice view over Boston. Some snowstorm was passing by with some moody and cloudy skies. I have heard that this hotel has an observation deck on the top floor. They were closed that night, maybe they are open in the summer. I’ll be back in Boston in early June, maybe stay at this place again and check it out.

Friday Mystery Photo

How about it, do you recognize this one?

Weekend update: I thought that this photo will be an easy one. But no one identified it! Some good suggestions folks, but it is not anywhere there. This is actually the view of downtown Boston from the east side. I took this photo last year, but it can probably look about the same about now as well, with this nasty winter storm we have on the east coast. I hope everyone staying warm and safe.
