It was a nice day in the North East and I took many photos of the Nubble Lighthouse, from different angles, so here is one more. You can see three previous photos under the Maine/York category.
You might remember my two previous posts with Nubble Light, you can see them under the Maine/York category. For this one I was trying to get very low and close to the water and try to get reflection of the Nubble Light in this little water puddle. The angles did not work at all and I could not get it into the view. Also I had to be very careful walking on this rock, it was very slippery and I did not want to crash into the water.
Third Part of HDR 101 is Published
The third part in my HDR 101 tutorial is published. It talks about how to use CS5 to give your HDR image little extra punch. You can see it at Beautiful HDR – Step 3.
Thanks for stopping by!
Couple weeks ago I published photo of the Nubble Light but named it after the park it is located at. Thanks to one of our visitors (Jane Lurie) for providing me with the correct name for this lighthouse – Nubble Light.
As part of my HDR 101 tutorial I used another photo from that day, with different foreground. As you can see we were there during low tide and I was able to get on some rocks with slightly different perspective than previous photo. Here you can actually see that Nubble Light is located on a little island. They have a little cable car – hard to see on the smaller image – on the left side of the island, it is probably the only way they get on and off the island.
Not sure about other parts of the country, but here in NC winter is yet to arrive. Going to be 65F today. Beginning of the week was looking promising with cold front coming in and some snow in the mountains. I was even contemplating to hit some slopes at Sugar and maybe take some winter mountain shots. Well, it is more like spring here now, with winter is yet to arrive. Of course we have about 6-7 more weeks for some potential wintery action, maybe it is still coming.
York Maine – Sohier Park Lighthouse
Today shot is from Maine. Last Spring we did a quick day trip from Boston to Portland and I took a few photos of this little island at Sohier Park. Cute isn’t it?
