From Flagstaff to Sedona

Yesterday I mentioned that drive on HW89 from Flagstaff to Sedona is very scenic. Most of the scenery is really starting from this point and down. Right now we are still almost at Flagstaff level, fairly high altitude, but things are about to change fairly quickly. First you’ll descent down this serpentine road into the canyon and over the next 10+ miles everything will dramatically change. No more snow and the picturesque mountains  around Sedona will present themselves in all their glory.

Levitation

Drive from Flagstaff Arizona to Sedona is very scenic and provides many photo opportunities. In many places you can just pull to the side of the road, jump out and take a few photos. Sometimes you have to do a bit of hiking to get different view than most travelers will get from the curb.

Like in this instance we hiked for about 5 minutes away and this scene opened up. The most extraordinary part was witnessing the sheet of ice levitating above the water, I was just in time to take a photo of it. I bet it was one of those Sedona super bursts of special earth energy that made it happen. Too bad none of the Sedona many residents have seen this, otherwise it would probably be the new place for them to gather for some earth healing sessions of their bodies and souls.

Passing Through

We just had dinner at the local brewery, got a six pack to take back to hotel and walking back to our car as train approached the main crossing. I just put my camera down, pointed in the direction of approaching train without looking into the viewfinder, not even checking the focus and pushed the button, hoping that it will capture something interesting.
