Last night I woke up smelling some smoky air and thought that maybe it was neighbors barbecue got out of control, but it turns out to be a wildlife fire in Sunshine Canyon just a few hundred yards away from our place. We actually had to evacuate from our house as the flames were going crazy wild just on the other side of the ridge.
Firefighters did a great job containing it down.
This is another case where it would be nice to say something other than “like.” I’m glad it came under control. We volunteer with the Red Cross (support for police and fire and shelters for displaced) and have had several big fires in South Florida lately. They are not as big as the western fires, but the population is usually closer to them. It is hard to imagine the intensity of a big fire until you are “up close and personal.”
I’m so happy for you and your family the firefighters has stop the flames.and you can go home again
