Pacific North West Forest

I took this photo on a quick hike from the top of the Snoqualmie Falls to the lower level viewing point. It was about one hour or so before sunset and sun was making nice horizontal shadows so I had to stop and snap it with my phone. The photo of the falls couple posts back was shot on that day with the same phone as well.

I find it really magical around this time of the day in the forest, the way light plays on the trees and all the low brush, making shadows and bright spots all over in some random unordered way.

Perfect capture! We can almost smell the damp scent of pine needles, moss and fern.
