We checked into El Tovar right around sunset, I took a few photos from the rim by the hotel and then we unloaded bags and had dinner at the bar in El Tovar restaurant. After dinner we decided to take a little night stroll on the rim and see how Grand Canyon looks in the dark. This is one of the views from the South rim of the Grand Canyon with some moon lightning in the back and hotel lightning on the foreground cliffs. In reality it was a bit darker, especially to a fresh eye, but after some time you could see almost the the same details as we see here. But the true magnificence of this natural landmark we didn’t see until next morning, well, I’ll leave those photos for another post(s).
