First I want to thank you all who have stopped by my blog in 2012! I hope you enjoyed my photography and I hope you will be back in 2013! I wish you all good luck, happiness, good health and prosperity in the new year!
The short time lapses in this video and associated photos were taken over three different days, on different visits to DC. I’ll try to continue making additional short DC time lapses and maybe get all four seasons shown in one short movie, but we’ll have to wait for that at least another six month.
If video is not shown in the browser or applications then visit it at DC SHORT from Dmitrii on Vimeo.
And this is one of the stills that you see in the video. As always you can click on it to open much higher resolution image from my Photo Gallery.
This year is about to be over and so I felt like posting sunset photos today and tomorrow. I thought about doing post with bunch of photos from this year, sort of review, like many other folks do, but then decided against it. I think I had a chance to post a lot of great photos this year and all you have to do is to visit my Photo Gallery and browse through them. If you already have Windows 8 and installed my “Travel Photography” application then you’ll see a slide show of a few of my favorites as well. Speaking of the app, I don’t think anyone on my visitors list have it installed yet, as it shows exact map location of each photo, and I forgot to hide it for this Friday Mystery Photo post, so anyone who had the app would see that it was taken in Savannah Georgia. My early new year wish for you is that somebody brings you some cool new Windows 8 device, so you can install my “Travel Photography” app, haha, yes a little self promotion does not hurt.
This photo was taken on my last business trip to Seattle, which was almost one year ago. I need to figure out how to go back there again, maybe will try to manage something later this summer. I took a few nice photos that evening, I actually did a little sprint to the top of observation deck for this one, I wanted to get this ferry into the frame at the right spot, and they move very fast, not waiting for some photographer to get his bearings and push the trigger.
This is the last Friday in 2012, the last Friday Mystery Photo of this year. Don’t worry, there will be many more in 2013, hopefully all 52 Fridays will have something not very well known by my readers and educational to all of us.
Prior to yesterday I have never been to Arizona and always imagined it as super hot place with year around desert type of climate. How wrong. The northern part of Arizona is nothing but not desert during winter season. Today I had one of the most treacherous drives in a long time. On our way to Flagstaff the higher we climbed the more snow was on the ground and the more snow was coming down from above, and the driving was not getting any better, as some moron was driving about 20 cars in front of us with flasher lights on, at about 15-20 mph, I’m sure knowing that 20+ cars are behind him, and didn’t have decency to pull out and let everyone through and not dragging 15 miles of driving to more than 60 minutes of complete annoyance.
Anyway, Flagstaff and northern Arizona is under complete whiteout, totally unexpected for me. New experiences!
River Street Sweets Candy
From cold and snowy to something sweet and tasty. If you ever come to Savannah then make sure to walk by the River Street and explorer many stores and eat some food at a few restaurants. If you are into clubbing, then I believe they even have those as well.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! This tree is straight from the Bellagio resort in Las Vegas Nevada, taken just about three hours before its been posted. One of the most decorated Christmas Trees I have ever seen, and I have seen many in the past, this one is truly 100% Vegas style.
