Waldport Sunset

Last summer we stayed for a few nights in a little lovely town of Yachats Oregon. About ten or so miles north of it is the town of Waldport. It is not a big town but it seats on the Alsea Bay and HW 101 crosses it, providing some shelter for boats and opportunity for some photography. I think we went twice to this place for sunset photos, this one was on the first night.

    1. Nice photos, and that sand is crazy, almost like a snow in a winter time… snow melts in the spring, that sand will stay there for good

  1. Such pretty colours, and the way the light picks up the ripples is beautiful. I also love the way the sky is a totally different colour above and below the bridge. Sky and water – you can’t go wrong.

    1. Thanks! I use Nikon D90, which is around $1200, but it is failry old now and you can get more recent release, which is Nikon D7000, goes for about $1500. Canon has the same type of cameras but I’m not familiar with their models.

  2. Waldport and Yachats are lovely towns. I fell in love with that area when we camped near Waldport a couple of years before we moved to Oregon. Awesome photo!!!
