This was early morning, start of a long day in Beijing. We walked out from Courtyard Hotel (the one not far from the central station) and as most of our time in Beijing started walking. Walking was our primary method of transportation. It is slower and you get tired but at the same time you get a chance to check out things otherwise completely unnoticed. So I saw these flags the day before, and tried to take a picture, but traffic was busier and it was windy, with flags flapping in all directions, just didn’t look good. This morning it was calm, super hot with air staying still, at 8AM already getting our sweat glands working at full capacity, but it allowed me to stop for a few moments in the middle of the road and take a few pictures.
